The Format

The Vintage rides are a Sunday morning event (once a month).

We all meet at 7.00am at the Bay Grocer in Byron Bay.

After a riders briefing, we'll depart for a scenic loop.

This is a 3hrs loop, with return and coffee at Bay Grocer.

the route will be communicated in advance on BBCC social media channels.

This is a social ride and it is conducted at a recreational pace, in order to give everyone the chance to enjoy their beloved steed and a chat with like minded riders.

All you need is...

You're very welcome to join our Vintage rides.

At BBCC safety is paramount, hence we request you to meet some minimum safety standards and be acquainted with group rides etiquette.

The ride is designed for vintage bikes, it is therefore preferred for you to ride a bike which has no carbon fibre frame, wheels or components.

We are not fussy about the "Eroica rules", but prefer to have steel or aluminium bikes manufactured before 2000.

Other requirements  are:

- A drop bar vintage bicycle in good road-worthy conditions.

- The fitness and ability to comfortably ride at 23Km/h or more.

- A functioning tail light.

- A way of fixing a flat tire.

- A friendly and respectful attitude.

Finally, a refresher of our safety instructions will not hurt!
