CANCELLATION POLICY 

Byron Bay Cycle Club (BBCC) are a small local Cycling Club and are not endeavouring to conduct a commercial enterprise. BBCC does want  to guarantee cycling events and racing for appropriately insured and licensed cyclists and as part of this, securing appropriate licensing and sanction for the Lismore Cycling Festival (LFC) is critical for our ongoing vision and relevance. 

Please read all individual event information thoroughly.

BBCC reserves the right to cancel the LCF Criterium and/or Gran Fondo rides due to low enrolment, or other circumstances which would make the event either:

a) non-viable and/or 

b) unsafe beyond human control. Unsafe would include natural events such as inclement weather  or other events which may cause significant risk to participants. 

If BBCC cancels the LCF Criterium and/or Gran Fondo rides, all fully paid entries will be offered a refund of 80% or to transfer their registration to the same event at a new, future date. 

Should circumstances arise beyond our control and deem the LCF Criterium on the Saturday 5th October 2024, unsafe to go ahead as scheduled, BBCC will attempt to move the event to the afternoon of the following day, Sunday the 6th October, 2024. 

In the above scenario, Criterium entrants will be given the option to either receive a refund (80%)or transfer their registration to the same event at the new, future date.

Rescheduled LFC Events - BBCC will contact the entrants with the updated  date and time. If you can't make the new date, you will receive an 80% refund upon request.

Cancelled or Postponed Events - In either case, we'll alert you ASAP.

Registration Cancellation by Entrant – A full refund will be provided where written notification (by email or fax) is received at least 7 days prior to the event. The event entrant will have the option to defer their registration until the following year's event at this time.   Refunds are not provided for any cancellation received after this time or for non-attendance on the day.

Method of Refund - Contact BBCC at E:secretary@byronbaycycleclub.org ASAP, please be aware that you will need some form of proof- of- purchase (such as your receipt) in order to obtain a refund.
