Clunes Ride

tance: Approximately 71 kms
Type: Medium, Hilly
Level: 4 (medium-difficult)
Coffee Stop: Clunes

This ride starts with a slight climb up Bangalow Road towards the scenic Coopers Shoot Road and continues to be undulating through to the villages of Newrybar and Eltham. Our destination for coffee is the small village of Clunes where it is named after Robert Mortimer Clunes, an early engineer in the dairying industry. Please be careful and ride in a group along the next section from Clunes to Eureka. The remaining ride through Federal can be quite shady so keep a look out for potholes! The last stage of the ride is down Possum Shoot and home to Byron.
